Original employer description

Neptune is building the concierge couples trust to navigate the biggest decisions of a life together. We pair emotionally intelligent AI with vetted legal and financial experts and transparent pricing, so both partners can make confident, fair decisions together and build a life, and lasting wealth, as a team.
At the center is a shared operating system for couples that remembers everything for you, so you never repeat yourself and every next decision starts from what we already know. Couples make billions of dollars in financial and legal decisions over a life together, and no one has built the trusted companion that carries the full picture across all of them. That's the category we're defining, and it's a rare moment to help build it from the ground up.
We've raised $7.5M from Floodgate (Lyft, X, Twitch) and The General Partnership, and demand is growing fast. We're making our first dedicated growth hire to own how couples discover Neptune and become customers.
Real ownership + upside. You're our first dedicated growth hire, with founding-level equity to match. You'll own how customers find us across paid and earned channels, and as the engine scales, this seat grows into leading the marketing function.
Impactful work. Build on a real product with product-market fit, on a small team where your work ships and reaches users every day.
You'll drive growth in a category most couples avoid talking about. Prenups, estate planning, and money conversations are emotionally fraught and deeply personal, but they're one-way-door decisions people deserve expert help with. Your job is to find the couples who need us, earn their trust, and turn that into a repeatable, measurable growth engine.
Acquisition performance. Own our blended CAC target across channels. Drive the paid social testing program (creative variants, audiences, landing pages) with our media buyer and creative contractors.
Referral & word-of-mouth growth. Design and run the referral motion; build the community, creator/UGC, and influencer programs that make couples tell other couples.
Story & content in market. Bring a realistic, relatable voice on money and relationships to organic social and content that earns saves and shares.
Measurement & growth infrastructure. Define the metrics for every channel, build honest reporting, and set up the tooling so the whole function scales — including managing agencies, contractors, and AI agents.
Spiked, not just rounded. 4+ years running growth at consumer startups, with deep, provable expertise in at least one of: paid social or referral / viral / community-led growth. You know exactly which one you are.
An owner of outcomes. You've carried a CAC or acquisition number yourself, killed losing channels fast, and can walk us through a program that failed and what you did about it.
A builder of systems. You set up the measurement, tooling, and processes that let a marketing function scale beyond you — not just campaigns that worked once.
Someone who builds with AI. You use AI tools as a genuine force multiplier across research, creative, copy, and analysis, and you're excited to do growth in an AI-native company.
Story + measurement. Storytelling instincts paired with real measurement discipline. You define the metrics and build the reporting behind your work.
High-agency and scrappy. You own outcomes on a small team, move fast, and thrive without a big budget or a playbook handed to you.
Experience in fintech, consumer health/wellness, lifestyle, marketplaces, or AI-assistant/consumer-services.
You've built a referral or creator/UGC program end-to-end, or scaled a paid social program past $1M/year profitably.
Ownership and autonomy. We believe strongly in ownership and moving quickly.
User obsession. You'll talk to users directly and build for what they actually need.
Fast iteration. Weekly check-ins, problems over process, and a bias toward action.
New York City: we're in the office together five days a week.
Compensation: $130K–$160K base, plus founding-level early-stage equity
100% employer-paid medical & dental
$1k annual learning budget
