Phoenix

Original employer description
Reproduced verbatim from the employer. Verify everything in this brief against the source text below.
Founded in 2019, Phoenix is building the most trusted telehealth platform in Canada, making specialist healthcare accessible to every Canadian, wherever they are. Our platform breaks down barriers to care, empowering patients to take control of their health with personalized treatment options and the guidance of licensed providers.
If you thrive where big ideas turn into real impact, you'll fit right in here. We're a team of creative problem-solvers who move deliberately and collaborate in person, because we think the best work happens that way. At Phoenix, you'll find autonomy over your work, people who care about each other's success, and a mission that's making healthcare better for Canadians.
We're looking for an Organic Growth Manager to help us expand our reach, impact, and grow our patient-base. In this role, you'll turn search data, audience insights, and channel experimentation into strategies that drive awareness, trust, and growth for our brand.
As our Organic Growth Manager, you'll own the engine that helps men discover accessible, stigma-free care for conditions like erectile dysfunction, hair loss, weight management, and testosterone optimization. You'll collaborate closely with marketing, product, and content teams to improve visibility, authority, and performance across organic channels. Together, you'll push organic growth across every channel, from traditional search to AI-powered discovery to social channels.
This role is as much about building the foundation as it is about driving results. You'll have the autonomy to define the strategy, run the experiments, and set the standard for how Phoenix grows organically. Your ability to blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution will directly shape how we attract, educate, and convert our customers.
Develop and execute an organic growth strategy across SEO, content distribution, and emerging AI-era discovery channels that drives qualified traffic and user acquisition across all key men's health categories.
Lead SEO strategy with a strong grounding in on-page, off-page, and technical fundamentals and an eye toward what comes next, including AEO and GEO frameworks.
Conduct keyword and phrasing research alongside competitive analysis to uncover opportunities, inform content, and guide long-term growth.
Ensure every article, landing page, and campaign is built on strong organic fundamentals and positioned for both traditional and AI-driven search.
Identify and launch non-traditional, non-paid growth channels including, but not limited to, community-led strategies on platforms like Reddit, highly shareable patient stories and testimonials, or owned content formats that earn attention rather than buy it.
Use data and creativity together to test unconventional ideas, learn fast, and double down on what works.
Monitor performance and report on KPIs including rankings, organic traffic, share of voice, and conversion rates.
Stay ahead of algorithm updates, AI search evolution, and industry trends to keep our organic strategy sharp and adaptive.
Experiment with new tools, AI integrations, and automation to improve efficiency and scalability across organic channels.
Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to test ideas quickly, share feedback openly, and build strategies that move fast and learn faster.
4–6+ years of organic growth marketing experience, ideally with SEO strategy skills, in a DTC, tech, or healthcare environment.
A strong SEO foundation and a track record of going beyond it. You've driven organic growth across channels, not just rankings.
A growth hacker's mindset. You're as comfortable mining data for insight as you are pitching a scrappy idea nobody's tried yet.
Demonstrable, owned results. You can point to specific outcomes you drove, not just programs you were part of.
Experience building something from the ground up. Whether it’s been a channel, a strategy, a playbook, you don't need a roadmap to get started.
Familiarity with AEO and GEO frameworks and how AI-era search is reshaping organic discovery.
Hands-on experience with tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
Proven ability to analyze data, translate insights into strategies, and clearly communicate results to varied levels of stakeholders.
You’re a natural collaborator who genuinely enjoys working cross-functionally. You know that the best organic strategies are built with content, product, and engineering, not around them.
Curious, proactive, and self-directed mindset. You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and treat every experiment as a chance to learn.
Passion for digital health, men's wellness, and making care more accessible is a valuable asset.
A Rewarding Mission: Through our asynchronous care model, Phoenix is reimagining patient-centric care for Canadians across the country by making diagnoses and treatment delivery faster, more accessible, and completely discreet.
Impact & Autonomy: You’ll work directly with passionate, experienced leaders who’ve seen the ups and downs of building a business and genuinely care about your growth. You won’t just execute — you’ll help shape the future of Phoenix and Raven.
Collaborative On-Site Culture: Our teams work together in person, whether that's at our downtown Toronto HQ or our Richmond pharmacy. We come together on-site to build fast and push what's possible, and we love the quick feedback loops, spontaneous brainstorms, and actually knowing the people we work with. Bonus points if you're into the occasional office tournament or have strong opinions about the best lunch spot nearby.
Competitive Pay, Real Benefits: Our compensation bands are backed by real market data, so offers are competitive and fair. Our benefits package includes standard healthcare coverage, a remote-first holiday season, and holistic wellbeing support — such as a wellbeing allowance and flexible additional time off to care for loved ones, support mental health, observe meaningful religious and cultural holidays, or when life just happens.
Thank you for your interest in joining the Phoenix team! While we are lucky to attract a high level of interest in each of our roles, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.

Step 2
Worth raising before applying or in the first recruiter conversation.
01Who owns landing page testing, analytics implementation, and shipping decisions?
Why ask this: Triggered when CRO, experimentation, or website signals appear. Triggered by the posting’s mention of website / cro signals.
02What's the team's experimentation cadence and how are winning experiments shipped?
Why ask this: Triggered when A/B testing or experimentation language appears. Triggered by the posting’s mention of experimentation / a/b test signals.
Step 3
Each angle below starts from a real signal in the posting. The phrase “if this reflects your real experience” matters — don’t invent experience you don’t have.
Angle 01
Web / CRO angle
If this reflects your real background, emphasize: experimentation cadence and analytics, on-site conversion wins, and collaboration with design and product teams
Why we suggest this: posting mentions website / cro.
Angle 02
SEO / organic angle
If this reflects your real background, emphasize: technical SEO and content production, organic traffic and pipeline contribution, and tools (Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush)
Why we suggest this: posting mentions seo / content.
Keyword stuffing, fabricated bullets, or borrowed metrics tend to backfire in the first screen. Use these as a checklist, not a script.
