Job Title
Senior Marketing (Demand Gen) Manager (path to Head of Marketing)
Job Description
The Tight Embedded Accounting HQ is in Washington, DC, in the renowned Dupont Circle neighborhood, directly across the street from the Dupont Circle Metro Station. We are in our high-energy office 5 days a week, and we’re looking to bring on a Product leader who embraces the opportunity to collaborate with high-trajectory teammates in our HQ. Tight is growing at a rapid pace, with 50% year-over-year employee growth, and we’re looking for a leader who not only embraces the growth but also is excited by the amount of change that comes with this growth.
Many financial technology (FinTech) platforms are building products that leverage Tight's Embedded Accounting UIs, APIs and SDKs; over 1.3M users are leveraging said products across dozens of small business platforms, including Vertical SaaS platforms, Horizontal SaaS platforms, and Virtual Bookkeeping platforms.
While Tight is a product-led organization (80% of Tight’s team is comprised of engineers), Tight’s CEO has historically owned all aspects of marketing, with help from the Head of Business Development and various contractors. Now, Tight is creating a Demand Generation operation, which will encapsulate the following areas:
Content
AGO/GEO/SEO
Potential Additional Demand Gen Areas
Ads
Co-marketing with strategic partners
Events
We're looking for an enthusiastic, quick, and passionate marketing generalist who:
Already understands content marketing
Can firmly grasp the domain knowledge of accounting as well as the embedded finance ecosystem
Will own content production and publishing, including relationship with content-writing firm
Qualifications
The following qualifications should help build confidence in the ability to grow into the above responsibilities:
3 to 10 years of experience in B2B marketing
Experience managing high-growth team members in addition to liaising with leaders
Strong writing skills
Importantly, at Tight, we are looking to utilize your existing skills to take over existing marketing functions from Tight’s CEO, and then the sky's the limit responsibility/growth-wise based on where your skill development and interests lead.

Step 3
Each angle below starts from a real signal in the posting. The phrase “if this reflects your real experience” matters — don’t invent experience you don’t have.
Angle 01
SEO / organic angle
If this reflects your real background, emphasize: technical SEO and content production, organic traffic and pipeline contribution, and tools (Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush)
Why we suggest this: posting mentions seo / content.
Keyword stuffing, fabricated bullets, or borrowed metrics tend to backfire in the first screen. Use these as a checklist, not a script.
