Performance Marketing Manager

About Mantle
We’re building an AI agent to help families support their aging parents (origin story here).
Over 40M “sandwich generation” Americans currently manage their parent’s affairs. Keeping mom/dad safe and supported is like a second job: it’s time-consuming, stressful and on top of their already busy lives. We believe that managing our parents’ affairs should feel under control, easier and lower stress.
Co-founded by serial entrepreneur partners including Ted Zagat, who sold his previous businesses to Slack (announcement here) and Google (Zagat restaurant guides).
The Role
We are looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to own Mantle's paid acquisition. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to build our paid engine from the ground up and find the channels, creative and messages that bring families to Mantle efficiently. You will work side-by-side with our founders and marketing team, and own the results.
This is a role for a builder. In the early days, paid acquisition is about fast, disciplined testing. It's not just about strategy; it's about the unglamorous work of launching campaigns, briefing and iterating on creative, checking tracking, and pulling budget from what isn't working before it costs us. You'll be the one doing the hands-on work today so we can scale what works tomorrow.

What You'll Build

Paid acquisition engine: Launch, manage and scale campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok and emerging channels.
Creative testing: Build a high-velocity system for developing, testing and learning from ad creative and messaging.
Measurement and attribution: Set up the tracking, attribution and reporting that tell us true cost and payback.
Budget management: Allocate spend with discipline and scale the channels that hit our targets.
Landing pages and funnels: Partner with product and design to improve conversion from click to member.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience
3+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience, ideally at a consumer startup or high-growth company
Track record of profitably scaling paid social and paid search budgets
Deep experience with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, plus attribution and analytics tools
Strong creative instinct and experience running structured creative tests
Strong analytical skills, with comfort in spreadsheets and SQL
Ideal Background
Early-stage startup experience where you built paid acquisition from zero
Experience marketing a moderate-to-high consideration consumer product (e.g. a subscription or financial product)
Experience reaching busy adults in their 40s and 50s
Savvy using AI tools to accelerate creative production and analysis
Nice to have, but not required: experience with FinTech
Who Thrives Here
Builders: You love creating things from scratch and taking full ownership
Data-driven: You let results, not opinions, decide where the next dollar goes
Scrappy: You operate well without a lot of structure or resources and find ways to "get it done"
Founder-minded: You think like an owner and spend every dollar like it's your own
AI-forward: You embrace modern AI
Autonomous: You thrive with minimal direction
Mission-driven: You care about what we're building

What You'll Get

Meaningful work: Grow a consumer product that will make a real difference in the lives of millions of families, with fast pace and huge financial potential
Small team impact: Work directly with founders and see immediate impact from your work
Partnership with founders: Work closely with Mantle's co-founders and other company leaders
Learning & growth: Opportunity to build a category-defining company from the ground up
Real ownership: Your decisions will shape our product, business and culture
Remote Fridays: Work from home every Friday. Monday through Thursday, we build together in person in San Francisco
