Original employer description

Profound is the marketing platform for the AI era. As people increasingly turn to ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini to decide what to buy, we give brands the intelligence to see how AI represents them and the Agents to act on it. Today, ~13% of the Fortune 500, plus companies like Ramp, Figma, Chime, Calendly, and DocuSign, use Profound to turn AI Search from a black box into a measurable growth channel.
Backed by Lightspeed, Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, and Khosla Ventures at a $1B valuation, we're a lean, fast-moving team across NYC, SF, Buenos Aires, and London, shipping at a relentless pace and defining a new category at the biggest shift in marketing in 25 years. If you want to do the best work of your career at the frontier of AI, come build it with us.
We are building the marketing platform for the answer-engine era, and demand generation is core to how we scale.
As Demand Generation Lead, you will build and run the programs that drive pipeline and revenue. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will own the full-funnel strategy from early awareness through qualified opportunities and be accountable for results. This is not a pure campaign execution role. You will design the strategy and roll up your sleeves to execute it. As we scale, you will build the team and systems to support it, but initially, you are building the engine yourself.
Plan, execute, and optimize full-funnel demand generation programs across paid media, ABM, email nurture, SEO and SEM, webinars, partner channels, and social
Diagnose which two to three demand channels will drive efficient pipeline growth given our market position and go-to-market motion, build them from scratch, prove ROI, and scale
Own and evolve the marketing technology stack including marketing automation, CRM, ABM platforms, analytics, and paid media tools
Leverage AI-native platforms such as Clay, Qualified, and similar tools for lead enrichment, intent signal processing, content personalization, and campaign optimization
Build attribution models, pipeline forecasts, and performance dashboards to guide budget allocation and channel prioritization
Partner closely with Sales, RevOps, and Product Marketing to align on ICPs, lead scoring, SLAs, and pipeline handoff processes
Run disciplined A and B tests across creative, audiences, and channels, treating every campaign as a measurable experiment
Document and scale repeatable playbooks across segments, geographies, and buyer personas
Mentor and develop demand generation specialists and marketing operations professionals as the team grows
6 or more years of experience in B2B demand generation, growth marketing, or integrated campaign management, including at least 2 years leading a team
Experienced building demand programs from scratch in high-velocity environments
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making high-conviction decisions with incomplete information
Experienced implementing and operationalizing AI-native marketing technologies
Think in terms of pipeline and revenue rather than surface-level metrics such as clicks or impressions
Fluent in CAC, LTV, stage conversion rates, and channel ROI
Equally comfortable presenting strategy to executives and optimizing ad copy or landing pages in detail
Clear communicator who can make performance data legible to non-technical stakeholders
Willing to challenge best practices and test assumptions with evidence
Experience marketing to enterprise buyers or marketing personas is a plus
This is an on-site role based in our Union Square, NYC office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.
For this role, the expected base salary range is $150,000 to $250,000. Profound’s total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your experience, skills, qualifications, and fit, and will be determined during the interview process.
