Original employer description
Reproduced verbatim from the employer. Verify everything in this brief against the source text below.
Code Metal is redefining code translation for mission-critical industries, helping defense partners move more quickly and reliably from algorithm to silicon. Our platform accelerates deployment of DSP, RF, communications, and embedded signal processing algorithms onto heterogeneous compute targets, including GPUs, FPGAs, ASICs, and edge SoCs. We also support automotive, aerospace, and semiconductor partners deploying complex algorithms onto constrained hardware with speed and rigor.
We are looking for Code Metal’s first Product Marketing Lead — a technical-leaning, full-stack product marketer who can turn our platform into clear messaging, launches, demos, customer proof, and field-ready assets.
You’ll sit at the intersection of marketing, product, engineering, sales, and executive leadership, translating complex technical capabilities into product stories that audiences can understand and trust. You’ll help bring new products and capabilities to market, shaping the messaging, packaging, demo strategy, sales enablement, and customer proof that make our platform credible and compelling.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who can think strategically about positioning, work well cross-functionally, and roll up their sleeves to ship. The focus is product depth, technical clarity, and customer proof. The right person is curious enough to go deep with engineers, disciplined enough to make the output simple, and energized by turning a complex, ambitious platform into a clear and compelling product story.
As the first product marketer at Code Metal, you’ll have significant ownership in building the product marketing foundation for the company. There will be plenty to create, shape, and improve — and not a lot of bureaucracy standing in the way.
Own product positioning and messaging for Code Metal’s platform, capabilities, workflows, and use cases, from foundational platform narratives to feature-level talking points.
Lead product marketing for new launches, partnering with product, engineering, sales, and marketing to land clear messaging, launch assets, demos, web content, enablement, and customer proof.
Build a deep understanding of our customers, technical users, use cases, and competitive landscape, and turn that insight into messaging and content that resonates with developers, engineering leaders, technical buyers, and partners.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear product stories, diagrams, demos, web copy, one-pagers, white papers, solution briefs, and field-facing materials.
Partner closely with product and engineering to understand how the platform works, what is differentiated, and what customers need to believe in order to trust it.
Develop customer proof points and turn them into credible case studies, slides, one-pagers, proof-point libraries, and sales-ready narratives.
Equip sales, customer success, and leadership with the materials they need for high-stakes conversations, including product explanations, competitive proof points, launch messaging, and event follow-up assets.
Build lightweight, repeatable product marketing processes for intake, prioritization, review, publishing, reuse, launch planning, and measurement.
Core product pages and demo assets are live, clearly explaining how Code Metal’s platform works, what problems it solves, and why it is differentiated.
A key strategic product or platform capability has been successfully launched, creating a repeatable model for bringing major new capabilities to market.
Customer proof points are captured and converted into reusable assets, including customer stories, case studies, slides, one-pagers, and proof-point libraries.
A steady product content engine is producing high-quality white papers, technical explainers, solution briefs, web content, and field enablement materials tied to product priorities.
Code Metal has a scalable product marketing foundation with clear processes for intake, prioritization, review, publishing, reuse, launch planning, and measurement.
8+ years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, developer marketing, content marketing, or a related role.
A track record of crafting positioning, messaging, and go-to-market materials for complex technical products, platforms, or categories.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you can make complex technical topics clear, credible, and useful without oversimplifying them.
Strong understanding of developer, engineering, and technical buyer audiences.
Strategic instincts paired with execution chops — you can set direction, build the plan, and ship the work.
Great taste and discernment: you can tell what is hype, what is real, and what will resonate with sophisticated technical audiences.
Ability to work closely with engineers, product teams, executives, sales, and customer-facing teams to turn complex ideas into compelling product content.
Comfort with ambiguity, high ownership, and building from an early-stage starting point with limited bureaucracy.
Experience creating or leading technical demos, product pages, customer stories, launch assets, white papers, one-pagers, solution briefs, or sales enablement materials.
Technical background or experience with AI, developer tools, embedded systems, semiconductors, heterogeneous compute, DSP, RF, GPUs, FPGAs, ASICs, or mission-critical industries is a plus.

Why ask this: Useful when the posting doesn't name success metrics. Triggered by the posting’s mention of baseline (always asked when metrics are missing).
02How is the ICP / persona work structured between product marketing and sales?
Why ask this: Triggered when product marketing or sales enablement signals appear. Triggered by the posting’s mention of product marketing / enablement signals.
Step 3
Each angle below starts from a real signal in the posting. The phrase “if this reflects your real experience” matters — don’t invent experience you don’t have.
Angle 01
SEO / organic angle
If this reflects your real background, emphasize: technical SEO and content production, organic traffic and pipeline contribution, and tools (Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush)
Why we suggest this: posting mentions seo / content.
Keyword stuffing, fabricated bullets, or borrowed metrics tend to backfire in the first screen. Use these as a checklist, not a script.
