Use this posting to prepare
Each subsection below is grounded in something the posting or the role fields actually say. Use them as prompts — not as finished resume copy.
Step 1
Terms in the actual posting. Use these only where they match your real experience.
Step 2
Worth raising before applying or in the first recruiter conversation.
01Which channels own the largest part of the growth or pipeline target today?
Why ask this: Triggered when paid search or paid social signals appear in the posting. Triggered by the posting’s mention of paid acquisition / demand gen signals.
02How is the ICP / persona work structured between product marketing and sales?
Why ask this: Triggered when product marketing or sales enablement signals appear. Triggered by the posting’s mention of product marketing / enablement signals.
Step 3
Each angle below starts from a real signal in the posting. The phrase “if this reflects your real experience” matters — don’t invent experience you don’t have.
Angle 01
Product marketing angle
If this reflects your real background, emphasize: launches, positioning, and messaging, sales enablement and ICP work, and competitive intelligence
Why we suggest this: posting mentions develop positioning and messaging.
Keyword stuffing, fabricated bullets, or borrowed metrics tend to backfire in the first screen. Use these as a checklist, not a script.

Are you ready to unlock intelligence?
If you don’t think you meet all of the criteria below but are still interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box - we’re looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others.
About the Role:
We are looking for a technically-minded, AI-obsessed Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager to help Kong own the AI connectivity category. As Sr. Tech PMM, AI, you will work directly with the Head of Product Marketing to craft the narrative around Kong’s AI connectivity platform—including Kong’s AI Gateway, Agent Gateway, and Context Mesh—and translate complex AI infrastructure concepts into compelling stories for technical and business buyers alike. You will serve as a strategic partner to Product, Field, Partnerships, and Solutions Engineering teams, helping them win in a fast-moving market where agentic connectivity is becoming the new battleground. You have deep familiarity with the AI/ML infrastructure landscape, understand how enterprises govern and operationalize AI, and can connect Kong’s platform capabilities to the real-world challenges of AI builders and operators.
What You’ll Do:
Help shape the technical narrative for Kong’s AI connectivity products—AI Gateway, Agent Gateway, Context Mesh, and MCP Registry—and develop positioning, messaging, and content that resonates with AI platform engineers, architects, and enterprise buyers.
Become a hands-on product expert across Kong’s AI connectivity portfolio; use the products, understand the technology, and build deep fluency in the underlying protocols (REST, MCP, event streaming) and AI patterns (agentic workflows, RAG, tool calling, multi-agent systems).
Develop and maintain technical content including solution briefs, white papers, demo narratives, battlecards, and keynote stories that articulate Kong’s differentiation in the AI connectivity space.
Act as a thought leader in the AI infrastructure and API management space; represent Kong in analyst briefings, industry events, customer advisory boards, and conference keynotes.
Collaborate with Product to shape the AI roadmap by bringing market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights into the prioritization process.
Partner with Field Enablement to build sales plays, pitch frameworks, and competitive positioning that equips AEs and SEs to win AI-related deals.
Drive Kong’s category creation narrative around “AI Connectivity” and the “full AI data path,” helping the market understand why a unified platform beats fragmented point solutions.
Work closely with Demand Gen and Content teams to develop integrated campaigns that generate pipeline in AI-focused accounts and personas.
Monitor the competitive landscape across AI gateway, API management, and agentic AI tooling vendors; develop proactive counter-positioning and win/loss analysis.
What You’ll Bring:
5+ years of experience in technical product marketing, technical product management, or solutions engineering—ideally at an AI/ML platform company.
Genuine hands-on interest in AI infrastructure: you follow developments in LLM deployment, agentic frameworks, Model Context Protocol, and AI governance; you can speak credibly to AI platform engineers without bluffing.
Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into crisp narratives that land with both technical practitioners and C-suite buyers.
Track record of developing product launches, sales enablement materials, and competitive intelligence programs that move pipeline and accelerate deals.
Highly collaborative—you thrive working across Product, Marketing, Field, and Developer Relations; you influence without authority and build trust through expertise and follow-through.
Comfortable owning a stage: keynote presentations, analyst briefings, customer roundtables, and demo-heavy sessions are energizing, not intimidating
Experience in open-source software, SaaS platforms, and enterprise go-to-market motions strongly preferred.
Familiarity with the AI connectivity landscape—including awareness of competing and complementary vendors across API gateways, AI observability, vector databases, IPaaS, and agentic orchestration frameworks—is a strong plus.
