Original employer description
Reproduced verbatim from the employer. Verify everything in this brief against the source text below.
Baton Corporation builds and maintains pump.fun — the dominant memecoin launchpad, processing $300M+ in daily volume. Last year, pump.fun generated over $500M in profit with a team of fewer than 100 people.
We ship to production daily. Bureaucracy is minimal. We solve hard technical and go-to-market problems at scale, and we're data-driven — systematic tools and the scientific method decide what works, not opinions.
Working with us isn't for everyone. We work in person. Hours are long and sometimes strange. The pace is intense. Individuals own their function end to end. When we ship a change, it reaches hundreds of thousands of users within days.
We're looking for a Growth Marketing Lead to build and run our growth function from the ground up — the strategy, the content, the paid channels, the team, and the compliance guardrails that let us move fast without moving recklessly.
This is a hands-on, builder role, not a "manage an agency and review decks" job. You'll be in the weeds on content and campaigns while building the team underneath you as we scale.
Own growth strategy end-to-end — set the roadmap for user acquisition and engagement, and be accountable for the numbers behind it.
Build and lead the team — hire, onboard, and manage the growth marketers, creators, and specialists needed to scale aggressively.
Run paid acquisition across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, TikTok Ads, TikTok Shop, X Ads, and other platforms as they become relevant.
Drive organic and creator-led growth through UGC and clipping strategies — sourcing, briefing, and scaling content that performs.
Generate and test ideas constantly — you're not waiting for a brief, you're bringing the brief.
Partner closely with Legal and General Counsel to make sure every growth strategy and campaign fits within our compliance framework — non-negotiable given the regulatory environment we operate in.
Report on and iterate against performance — kill what doesn't work, scale what does, fast.
A few years of experience scaling a consumer product — as a growth hacker/marketer inside a consumer app (social, health/fitness, consumer fintech, mobile gaming), or at an agency that ran growth for products like these.
Hands-on channel experience with UGC, clipping/content strategies, and paid social/search (Meta, Google, TikTok, X).
A scrappy, high-energy operator mindset — you're hungry, hands-on, and thrive in a fast-paced, resource-lean environment where you're building the playbook as you go, not just running someone else's.
Comfort with ambiguity and pace — you don't need a fully mapped org or process to start moving.
Crypto experience — as a retail trader, or through work at a crypto startup or larger crypto company.
TradFi experience — exposure to how growth, marketing, or compliance works in traditional finance.
Experience working alongside legal/compliance teams on regulated or sensitive marketing content.
If you're the kind of operator who'd rather ship the campaign than write the deck about it — this is your role.
More to explore
… scale. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Own growth strategy end-to-end — set the roadmap for user acquisition …
Why ask this: Useful when the posting doesn't name success metrics. Triggered by the posting’s mention of baseline (always asked when metrics are missing).
02Which channels own the largest part of the growth or pipeline target today?
Why ask this: Triggered when paid search or paid social signals appear in the posting. Triggered by the posting’s mention of paid acquisition / demand gen signals.
03How is the budget and pacing structured across paid channels for this role?
Why ask this: Triggered when budget or paid channel ownership is implied. Triggered by the posting’s mention of paid channel ownership signals.
04How is the relationship between paid acquisition and lifecycle structured?
Why ask this: Triggered when both paid and lifecycle signals appear. Triggered by the posting’s mention of both paid and lifecycle signals.
Step 3
Each angle below starts from a real signal in the posting. The phrase “if this reflects your real experience” matters — don’t invent experience you don’t have.
Angle 01
Paid acquisition angle
If this reflects your real background, emphasize: paid channel ownership and budget trade-offs, testing velocity on creative and landing pages, and how you measured CAC, ROAS, or pipeline impact
Why we suggest this: posting mentions paid search and paid social.
Keyword stuffing, fabricated bullets, or borrowed metrics tend to backfire in the first screen. Use these as a checklist, not a script.
